The year 2013 was marked by the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Elysée Treaty, signed on 22 January 1963 by General de Gaulle and Chancellor Adenauer. The two countries and commemorate the steps of reconciliation. Institutions, the relationship between the two countries are exemplary and unusual in international relations.
