Friday in the Laotian capital, the defense ministers of Laos and China exchanged views on bilateral military relations and on international and regional security situation.
The Chinese Defense Minister Liang Guanglie, visiting Laos, said that the two armies had in recent years conducted frequent exchanges and fruitful cooperation in the areas of high-level visits, training of staff and border patrols.
China is ready to work with Laos to strengthen their strategic coordination, deepen bilateral cooperation and push forward the development of military relations between the two countries, he added.
For its part, the Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Douangchay Phichit, expressed his gratitude to China for the support and assistance provided to the construction of society and the Laotian army .
