Moscow is concerned over Seoul deploying cruise missiles capable of striking North Korea, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich
He recalled that Russia has always
been up in arms against a spate of US-South Korean agreements on
enhancing Seoul’s missile capabilities.
Commenting on
North Korea’s recent nuclear test, Lukashevich signaled Russia’s
readiness to deal with a new UN Security Council resolution.
Separately,
he warned against the use of force and urged the resumption of
six-party talks on the
denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
