Iran could make an atomic bomb within six months (expert)

Iran has all the elements necessary to make a nuclear weapon within four to six months, said Monday evening Amos Yadlin, director of the Tel Aviv University Institute for National Security Studies (INSS).

This statement, quoted by the Western media, was made at a press conference dedicated to the strategic perspectives of the Jewish state held in Tel Aviv.

Previously, the Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu said that the Islamic Republic was currently 70% uranium enrichment, and it would reach the level of 90% in 2013, after which it would take a few months or even a few weeks to get enough uranium to produce its first atomic bomb.

The United States, Israel and other countries accuse Iran of trying to develop nuclear weapons under cover of its nuclear program that claims to make for peaceful purposes. Recognizes Tehran to enrich uranium to 20%, but says its nuclear activities are only intended to satisfy the needs of the country's electricity.

Since 2003, six international mediators on the Iranian nuclear work in conjunction with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to bring Tehran to suspend its uranium enrichment work that could endanger the non- nuclear proliferation.
