From 29 to 31 January 2013, the military air testing center (CEAM) of Mont-de-Marsan conducted a study on the capacity of refueling fighter aircraft of the French Air Force by the new KC 767 of the Italian Air Force.
This experiment, which took place on the air base 118 Mont-de-Marsan hosted a three-day Italian tanker and its crew of 14th Wing/8thSquadron (squadron testing and validation) Italian.
After compatibility testing ground, supervised by a team of in-flight refueling mark 2/330, a flight of 3:30 was made possible, in order to validate supplies three types of French aircraft Mirage F1, Mirage 2000 and Rafale. All the tanker pods were used during different phases of flight by day, dusk and night.
The professionalism of all the staff French and Italian has largely contributed to the success of this mission.
