Suicide Bomber Targets Ministry of Defence Afghanistan

A suicide attack outside the Ministry of Defence in Kabul city Saturday morning has injured several people, officials said.
Gunfire was heard following the explosion outside the entrance to the MOD.
The attack took place about 09:00 am local time, shortly after the new US Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel arrived in Afghanistan on an official visit.
There was no exact information about the casualties of the attack, officials said.
More security forces have arrived in the area and roads have been blocked to traffic.
Ambulances were also seen in the area taking away those who were injured.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the blast in a text message to media.
