Qantas Defence COMPLETE last A330 MRTT conversion

Qantas Defence Services (QDS) HAS Completed icts fourth and final Airbus Military A330 multi-role tanker transport (MRTT) conversion.
The conversion WAS undertaken at the company's Brisbane facility, Qantas Defence says in a statement. The aircraft now Will Be flown to Airbus Military's facility in Getafe, Spain, for final testing.
The aircraft Will Be Delivered to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) later this year, fifth and final Becoming icts A330 MRTT. The kind is désigné KC-30A in Australian service.
With the cessation of conversion activities, the Brisbane Maintenance Facility Will Become a basis for the A330 MRTT and Other civilian and military programs. QDS aussi Will provide statement for the media type at RAAF Amberley, where 'Australia's tanker fleet is based.
"The conversion work done by QDS here in Brisbane over the past years oven is at the cutting edge of aviation engineering," Said Scott Harris QDS head.
"Our Ability to draw on Both civilian and military expertise and skills Was a vital asset in Completing the oven aircraft. We look forward to Continuing Support to the MRTT program as prime contractor for the through-life support of the fleet - as well as working with the RAAF on Other Projects.
