The MINIROGEN is a new robot, projected from June 2012 in Afghanistan. This team detachments road-opening trapped (DoIP) and sections combat engineer. With his mobility and his camera, he can squeeze through very narrow spaces, to provide information on possible improvised explosive devices (IEDs) that are hiding there. It also has a platform remotely activated allowing him to ask loads mine.
"This modern equipment brings new responsibilities to engineering sections, and enhances the safety of firefighters, who no longer need to get themselves on the mined area," said Captain William Dortz, the STAT.
