The CAESAR: Truck equipped with an artillery system

Caesar arrived in Afghanistan in August 2009.Less than 12 months later, the CAESAR became the main armament of the artillery regiments of the brigades multi roles and commitment of emergency.
A true "cultural revolution for the gunners," enthuses Colonel Chalmin, program officer at the Technical Section of the Army (STAT). "His versatility, mobility and ease of implementation are incredible. Membership is full in the artillery regiments. "
The speed of operation avoids the fire against enemy battery: 1 min 40 after opening fire, Caesar has already fired six shells and left his position. The longer and shooting accuracy also increased, with a longer tube (8 m), and repointing Automatic target once the shot fired."A genuine technological feat," says the colonel.
