Towards a return flight from Boeing Phantom Eye UAV

Boeing method (6 February 2013) new taxi tests Phantom Eye UAV's liquid hydrogen. The tests were conducted on the basis of Edwards Air Force in California. Placed on a trolley, the vehicle reaches a speed of 40 kts. These tests are performed for a new UAV flight. The first flight was made on 1 June 2012. The craft was damaged on landing, following the breakdown of the train.


The propulsion system should allow the liquid hydrogen Phantom Eye to maintain flight for 4 days, at an altitude of 65,000 ft or 21,450 m. It can carry a payload of about 200 kg.
