The first Chinese aircraft carrier, Liaoning, was anchored for the first time Wednesday morning in a military port of Qingdao in eastern Shandong Province.
This event means that after four years of work space intended to accommodate aircraft carriers in Qingdao now has the logistical capacity to do so, according to a military statement.
The aircraft carrier left Tuesday Liaoning dock shipyard in Dalian headed for Qingdao. During the journey, the building has conducted tests of its weapons systems.
After being delivered to the Navy of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) September 25, Liaoning has undergone a series of tests and navigation technology.
