Sukhoi
is designing a new advanced ground-attack aircraft, known as the
Shturmovik, by 2014-2015. Based on this timeline, the aircraft should be
ready for production in 2020.
The
program will run until 2025, the new aircraft will be based on the
latest version of the Su-25 (the Su-25SM) and that it will replace the
Su-25/25SM in service with the Air Force.
