The Chandigarh Police in North Western India as well as specialised
police team are set to be the first Indian police force to operate
locally developed UAV cutomised for police operation. They will be used
for monitoring large rallies and marches, providing bird’s eye views of
the law enforcement officer and improving situational understanding.
DRDO Golden Hawk will be the first UAV to be operated by the police and shall be followed by DRDO Netra .
