Japan plans to allow foreign EPE over ships flying its flag

The Japanese government is preparing to turn a bill which will allow the boarding teams Protection (EPA) armies. This text will allow foreign companies to bring on board ships flying the flag of the Japanese team of security officers. Previously, this type of military presence was prohibited under the Firearm Control Law And Sword.

This law, if passed, will have limitations. Geographic first as it will be effective in areas where there is a pirate threat. Operational since then the owners will present a case before receiving the green light, and since the conditions for the fire will be limited to self-defense.


Since March 2009, Japan deployed two ships and two aircraft patrolling the Indian Ocean against piracy.Their rear base in Djibouti.
