The Russian Navy has been training in the rescue of submarines in distress

The ship "Georgiy Titov" of the Russian Northern Fleet conducted Monday in the province of Murmansk, a mock rescue of submarines in distress, said sources from the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to a spokesman, the exercise was conducted in preparation for participation in exercises "Blod Monarch" in 2012, organized by NATO in the Norwegian Sea in late July.

Thus, the crew of "Georgy Titov" tested the evacuation of a submarine in distress with the rescue submersible deepwater AC-34.

June 21, another rescue exercise was planned in the Barents Sea.
