The government has tabled a RM13.79 billion Supplementary Supply Bill 2012 to seek an additional operating expenditure.
Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Seri Dr Awang Adek Hussin tabled the Bill for first reading at the Dewan Rakyat Thursday.
The allocation is meant to cover operating costs incurred by 14 ministries, Treasury General Services, the Election Commission (EC), Treasury and the Prime Minister's Department (JPM).
Of the sum, the largest amount will be allocated to the Treasury General Services (RM11.2 billion), followed by the Works Ministry (RM446 million), and the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry (RM404 million).
This is followed by the EC (RM360 million), the Home Ministry (RM353.5 million), the Defence Ministry (RM210 million), the Education Ministry (RM195 million) and JPM (RM112.9 million).
