The VBCI carrying two men at the front and a squad of nine men with the FELIN(infantryman with integrated equipment and links) on the back. It allows troops landed closer to the target and can then provide fire support with its turret, fitted with a 25mm cannon. Day or night, under a threat of artillery or NRBC (nuclear, radiological, biological, chemical), the VBCI provides security personnel onboard. With its eight-wheel drive, it is able to travel on most terrains, safely. On board, the group leader communicates with the terminal system (SITEL).
Projected in the Afghan theater, the VBCI has undergone some changes. It is now equipped with netting RPG and additional shields. Its firing capabilities are increased by 12.7 to the rear. With the arrival of Scorpio, further changes are still to be expected ...
