Russia: Drug service involved in military exercises in 2013

Drug police in 2013 involved several exercises organized by the Russian Ministry of Defense, whose Russian-Belarusian maneuvers Zapad-2013, said Monday the director of the Russian Federal Service for Drug Control (FSKN) Viktor Ivanov in an interview RIA Novosti.

"In 2013, large-scale joint exercises Zapad-2013 will be held in the Western Military District, involving combat equipment, aviation, military and naval vessels. Moreover, units FSKN also take part in these strategic exercises "the official said.

According to him, the exercises are designed to ensure cooperation between different law enforcement intended to dismantle the networks of drug trafficking.

"This is due to the fact that currently, a large amount of drugs flowing from the home territory of European states. We cooperate with their bodies and I must say that our relations are very good," said the director of FSKN .
