Haji Abdul Halim bin Haji Mohd Hanifah welcomed the delegates of the 6th
ASEAN Navy Chiefs’ Meeting at the Brunei International Airport.
The 6th ASEAN Navy Chiefs’ is scheduled for 3rd September 2012 and will be held at the Indera Pura Ballroom, Empire Hotel and Country Club.
Several significant activities on Sunday included a Bilateral Calls between Navy Chiefs which were conducted at the hotel’s meeting rooms and Welcoming Reception for all the delegation hosted by Commander Royal Brunei Navy at Indera Pura Lounge, Empire Hotel and Country Club later in the afternoon.
A Staff Officers delegation meeting was also conducted in the afternoon to provide in depth working level discussion and exchange of views for the official meeting. The 6th ASEAN Navy Chiefs’ Meeting will be focusing on several maritime security agendas, which will include means to enhance multilateral cooperation and engagement.
