Russian army: more than 70% of new weaponry by 2020 (Putin)

Weapons of new generation should represent 30% of Russian weapons by 2015 and between 70% and 100% by 2020, said Wednesday in Moscow Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Russia must create a system research and design of promising projects in the field of military technology over the next two years," Putin said at a meeting of the college expanded the Russian Ministry of Defence.
