Adiala Jail demands phone jamming system

Following the militant attack on Bannu prison, the Adiala Jail administration has demanded of the Punjab government to provide mobile phone jamming system to avoid any untoward incident.
According to police sources, the Jail administration asked the government to increase the strength of security forces, including rangers, police and Elite force deputed in the jail, for the assurance of foolproof security arrangements at Central Jail Adiala.
The jail administration requested to the government to deploy anti-terrorist squad and Elite force contingent on permanent bases.
The jail administration also asked the government   to setup security picket on the both side of Adiala road.
The Inspector General (IG) jail informed the Punjab government that several dangerous prisoners, convicted in different terrorist activities are detained in the prison.
The IG asked the government to hand over two ATS vehicles, equipped with latest ammunition to the jail authorities. He said that Light Machine Gun LMG would be provide to security forces deployed on Adiala jail.
Meanwhile, the CPO Rawalpindi was informed that at least two section of Elite Force are deployed on the jail and strength of policemen were increased up to 60.
